The Chiltern Hills weekend trip - 20th/21st February

A fantastic weekend trip with two wonderful circular hikes in the impressive Chiltern Hills. On Saturday 20th February we meet at the free National Trust car park close to Ivinghoe Beacon for a 12.30pm start and do a hike for approx. 4hrs (around 8 miles) that includes Ashridge Forest, the pretty village of Aldbury, parts of the Ridgeway trail and Ivinghoe Beacon itself.

We then stay over at the Premier Inn hotel near Dunstable and on Sunday we head to Wendover for another beautiful hike (approx. 10 miles, 5hrs) which includes Coombe Hill and the impressive monument overlooking Chequers, the Grand Union Canal, some more parts of the Ridgeway trail and Wendover Woods.

Two great hikes and fully guided throughout plus hotel. It will be a wonderful weekend! (Rating 2.5)
