Marathon Hike Medal Series (South Peak District) - Saturday 11th October

The first of series of new 'Marathon Hikes' for 2025 and 2026! Several hikes in many different areas, all of which are the full 26.2 miles Marathon distance and as well as a wonderful days hiking and a massive achievement you will receive a special Mountain Coach Marathon Hike Medal!! For this one we start and finish in the lovely village of Monyash. Starting just after sunrise at 7.45am we should finish around 5.45pm before sunset and 10hrs in total including breaks. The circular hike takes in stunning countryside including the villages of Youlgreave, Elton, Gotham and parts of the Limestone Way, Midshires Way, High Peak Trail and the Pennine Bridleway! Fully guided throughout. We have kept the elevation to just over 2,000ft total so given the distance and in the Peak District it is not too hilly. (Rating 4)
