Helvellyn Mountain weekend trip (Lake District) - 20th/21st March

Your chance to climb England's 3rd highest Peak, the iconic Helvellyn Mountain (950m) in the Lake District. If weather conditions allow we will be going up to the summit via Striding Edge and back down via Swirrel Edge, otherwise there are many other routes we can take. 

We will meet on Saturday 20th March in Shap for 1.30pm and do a beautiful hike in the afternoon for approx. 3hrs to stretch the legs and then head to the Premier Inn hotel towards Carlisle overnight. On the Sunday we will start at 9am from Glenridding, close to Ullswater for the main Helvellyn hike which is likely to take around 6hrs in total, so finishing back in Glenridding around 3pm. It is a fantastic hike and a stunning mountain whichever routes we take. Fully guided throughout and limited numbers. (Rating 3.5)
