Marathon Hike Medal Series - Chester & the River Dee - Saturday 19th September

Another wonderful marathon distance (26.2 miles) hike. This time it is the Chester & River Dee hike taking in many historic features and beautiful countryside. We start at 8.15am from the Chester Railway car park (CH1 3BQ) and finish back there about 9hrs later, so around 5.15pm. The route includes the City Centre, iconic architecture, the famous Cathedral, the Roman Walls, Grosvenor Park, the Queen's Park suspension bridge, large parts of the River Dee, the Hawarden Bridge, the canal, the racecourse and much more!

Fully guided throughout, this is a lovely mix of countryside, water, history and beautiful scenery. (Rating 4) As always you get a fantastic medal for finishing as well as a great sense of achievement.
