2023 Hiking Challenge Series - Robin Hood & Sherwood Forest 20 miler - Saturday 16th September

This will be the 9th and penultimate 2023 Hiking Challenge series event of the year! A beautiful 20 mile hike through Robin Hood Country! We start and finish near Edwinstowe on the edge of Sherwood Forest Country Park, Nottinghamshire. Starting at 8.30am we should finish about 5pm. The route takes us past the iconic Major Oak tree, along Robin Hood Way, through Sherwood Forest, around the stunning Clumber Park, through Hardwick Village, past Robin Hoods cave down to the Water Mill at New Ollerton and back to Edwinstowe. A relatively flat hike but still 20 miles in wonderful and historic countryside. Fully guided throughout. (Rating 3/4)
