Helvellyn (Striding & Swirral Edge route) weekend - 12/13th April

A great weekend in the Lake District with a fairly gentle, picturesque walk starting at 2pm on the Saturday afternoon by Pooley Bridge and Lake Ullswater. This walk will be a couple of hours or so and then we stay overnight at a Premier Inn hotel near Carlisle. On Sunday we do the main hike up and down Helvellyn mountain (the 3rd highest peak in England!) from Glenridding and taking in the more adventurous and iconic Striding Edge and Swirral Edge routes - approx. 6hrs in total. Amazing views and scenery all around and you'll be fully guided throughout. (Rating 3.5)
